sugar cookies

Second annual Christmas dinner at the Larson's house means second annual Christmas sugar cookies. I always start out sugar cookie adventures with so much gusto and about 5 hours in, I realize why I could never do this for a living. Still fun though..

Ali's cookies!

Thanks for having us!

Oh Canada!

No blogging for a while because we got to go heli skiing in Canada and it was so great!
I would never look at a computer again if I could do that everyday.
Check out the pictures!

exposed brick- yes please!

7th grade. What I Like About You. Amanda Byne's bedroom with exposed brick.
Embarrassing but I loved the brick then and still love it. So urban yet cozy.

And the best part is, they make brick tiles so you can get the look on any wall!

sign here please

Some people think guest books are stupid as if they'll never forget who was there to celebrate with them but be it a wedding, baby shower or birthday party, I think it's a really great way to look back and be appreciative for everyone who was there to support you.

My new favorite- giant guest book quilt.
So cute (and useful too).

oh la la

Although ¡qué bueno! is intended to refer to all of the great things I'll
encounter in Chile, it temporarily refers to all of the cosas buenas currently in my life.

For example... chandeliers: who doesn't love them?
If I get my way, my future house will have a chandelier in every room!

Grandpa, this one's for you...

Seeing as I will be spending the next two terms of my college career studying abroad in Chile, I decided to start up a little blog just in case anyone is curious about what I'm up to.

I've never been a blogger and as I'm trying to figure out how all of this works and getting ready for my adventures, I find myself wishing my Grandpa were around to help me. Despite his questionable driving skills and the fact he was born before computers were invented, I feel like he would be much more savvy at this than I am.

Over the course of the next month I'll be blogging a bit to get the hang of this before I head south.
Step one: Upload a picture... so Grandpa, this one's for you
